SAGLE, ID _ HDG ARCHITECTURE LLC.

This Japanese and mid-century inspired residence was designed for a young family trying to find some space in northern Idaho away from the urban bustle to raise their kids in. A lightweight butterfly roof floats above a whitewashed cedar and basalt stone base creating a near continuous band of clerestory windows around the entire house bringing in lots of light and air. The exterior natural materials are hyper-local and are all sourced and processed withing 1 hour of the site.
