Fashion Brand showroom objects

Columbus Circle, NYC _SITU Fabrication

Working with So-Il Architects in 2015, SITU developed, fabricated, and installed five large-scale, movable fitting rooms, a large double-door entrance, and a reception desk for a high-end fashion showroom in Manhattan. Each fitting room could be opened or closed and moved by the clients along inlaid brass tracks allowing for the complete reconfiguration of the showroom space to accommodate the many programmatic needs of the space. The minimalist aesthetic of the furniture was accomplished using HDPE plastic sheets that were CNC-routed, notched, heated, folded, and bolted together in repeated modules. Each form has modular welded aluminum tube bases with heavy-duty castors.
